Two female bank employees have been arrested alongside two other suspects for their alleged involvement in a R3 million bank robbery in Ivory Park Mall, Midrand, Gauteng. The robbery took place on Wednesday, 27 November, with preliminary investigations suggesting the employees colluded with the other suspects during the heist.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said the robbery happened on Wednesday, 27 November. “Within 48 hours, information was gathered about possible suspects and getaway cars. The information led the police to Rosslyn in Tshwane where the first suspect was arrested on Friday, 29 November 2024.”The investigation led the team to Ga-Rankuwa in Tshwane where the second suspect, who is reported to be the kingpin, was tracked down and arrested.
