While the new \u0027travel hack\u0027 is likely to cause some disruptions, others think executives are using it as a scapegoat
Radio host Nick Ferrari asked about a specific case when 20 wheelchair passengers were forced to wait in a room with no air conditioning for staff to take them through to immigration. He called it an “absolute disgrace” and wanted to know why more staff wasn’t there to “look after those with mobility issues.”
“If you go on TikTok, you’ll see that that is one of the travel hacks that people are recommending,” he said. “Please don’t do that. We need that service for the people who need it most.” Some on social media pointed out that requesting a wheelchair at the airport does not get travellers through faster, and the trend makes it harder for those with disabilities to get the service they need.
