Reception centre open at arena
The cleanup continues after a severe thunderstorm and tornado hit the Marmora to Sharbot Lake Highway 7 corridor Sunday night.
In Tweed, a reception centre will be open today from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. for residents affected by the storm at the Tweed Arena on Joseph Street. There residents will find bottled water, tap water for larger containers, access to showers, and information of various kinds. Many businesses and organizations have made donations helping those whose lives were disrupted by the damaging storms.
