, a high school standout at Williamson before playing at Auburn, has handled the slot-corner duties for Tennessee this season. But theGarror would be the top candidate to replace McCreary if the second-year cornerback couldn’t play on Sunday. Vrabel also said Garror might be a candidate to return punts, too. The Titans have used three punt returners this season.
A high school standout at McGill-Toolen who played collegiately at Louisiana, Garror signed with Tennessee as an undrafted rookie in May and stuck with the Titans on the practice squad after being waived at the end of the preseason. Garror had been elevated once off the practice squad this season, and he got on the field for one special-teams play in Tennessee’s 27-24 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 17.The former Alabama defensive back was released for the ninth time in his career four weeks after he made his NFL regular-season debut. Carter, who entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2020, played in Tennessee’s 27-3 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals as a practice-squad elevation on Oct. 1.
