May 6 scholarship pageant raised $18,500 fro Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer
The annual Miss Ontario Regional Canada Scholarship Pageant was held in Sudbury on May 6. Not only was Tia Nootchtai of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek crown the winner, but also the event raised $18,500 for Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.
The event was held at the Sheraton Auditorium at Sudbury Secondary School and was open to teens and women aged 13-24 from across Northern Ontario. As stated, Tia Nootchtai was selected as Miss Ontario Regional Canada 2023. Also claiming sashes at the event were Emma Dingle of Algoma District, First Runnerup; Gabrielle Dillan of Thunder Bay; Chloe Arsenault of Rayside Balfour, Third Runnerup, and; Beca Sigouin of Cochrane, Fourth Runnerup.
