The latest in Ahly-Tau saga 'revealed'
Percy Tau has reportedly requested that he leave the side as a free agent at the end of the current Egyptian Premier League campaign.
With the former Brighton & Hove Albion forward understood to have been involved in negotiations with the Red Devils regarding his future, he is now refusing to leave the side, insisting that he receive the full value of his remaining contract he is to make an exit, according to Egyptian news site Tau has also been linked with a move to the United Arab Emirates, while Saudi Pro League clubs Al Kholood and Al Wehda have previously made offers for the star. Due to the large amount of interest in the player, it has been suggested that Tau wants to leave the side as a free agent and has requested to do so, and is now said to be waiting on a response from the club.
This comes after news suggesting that Al Ahly manager Marcel Koller has told the 12-time CAF Champions League winners' hierarchy that he is prepared to let the Bafana Bafana star go in order to make room for a"distinguished foreign player" to go into the 2024/25 season with.
