For the second game in a row, Toronto FC heads into a stadium named after an automobile company.
“They have some very skillful players,” TFC coach Bob Bradley said. “I think everyone saw what Almada was capable of doing in the second part of the season last year, so he starts out with these two great goals. He’s still quite a talented player. They’ve got other guys that are talented and good on the ball.”
“It’s not something that the players enjoy,” said the coach. “They feel little things. You have to tweak your training loads accordingly, so you want to continue to work hard but you have to manage training loads on turf. If guys got a little bit of a knee over the years that bothers them, then the knee the next day will be feeling worse than it would be if they were training on grass. And they’ll feel a little bit more in the lower back at times.
“They’re obviously a good team, we know that,” said the Toronto native. “Away games in this league are always tough wherever you go, but we’ll be fully prepared for them.”Article contentInsigne, who was forced to leave last Saturday’s match because of a “lower leg injury” was on the training field on Thursday and did a little work on the side but is questionable for Saturday’s game.
