At 30, Osorio believes his best years are still ahead.
The club obviously concurs with that, signing the Canadian international to a new three-year contract in September, with an option for 2026.
“Jonathan had to make a really hard decision,” said Manning. “He is a rarity in that he is a one-club player. He has played over 300 games for us and he wanted to know that he was going to be an integral part of our group going forward. “What you always hear about Jonathan is, he’s a hard worker. He gets after it. He has a heart that is this big,” Manning continued, holding his hands a foot apart. “And he’s a good professional. He’s looking at 2026 World Cup as well and how he can elevate his game. And he liked that we brought in some players that have championship experience, guys like Mark-Anthony Kaye and Richie who he plays with on the national team. So that was a really, really important signing.
