Even after abbreviated 2020 spring and summer training camps thrown into disarray by the COVID-19 pandemic, Overshown looked reborn after spinning down to linebacker. He started all 10 games that season and finished with 60 tackles, eight tackles for loss, seven pass breakups and two interceptions to earn his first All-Big 12 honorable mention.
With more training, “Agent Zero” – Overshown wears No. 0 – blossomed into one of the Big 12’s top defenders over the past two seasons. In 21 games he amassed 150 total tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss , five sacks, seven pass deflections and two fumble recoveries. Overshown was a first-team All-Big 12 selection this season and a semifinalist for the Butkus Award in 2021 and 2022.
“Moving to Austin and choosing to spend the next chapter of my life after high school here was the best decision I could have made,” Overshown said. “I am extremely grateful for my mom. Her love and support has been unparalleled and never ending and is the reason I'm the man I am today. I love you mom.
