The reigning 1,500m world champion is going head to head with current Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen
Team GB are vying for another medal in the Paris Olympics as Josh Kerr takes on his arch rival Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen in the highly anticipated 1500m final.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s final, Kerr said: “They should be expecting one of the most vicious and hardest 1500m this sport has seen for a very long time. Kerr believes the distinctive look gave him a mental edge over his rivals. The 26-year-old told BBC Sport: “I think, with the sunglasses, it definitely lets me stand out. When the glasses go on, it’s game time. In the World Championships last year, I was wearing the darker sunglasses before heading out, so you couldn’t see my eyes.
He popped the question to Rodriguez- who is also an athlete and former track coach - in 2021, but the pair are now living some 3,000 miles apart.
