Toronto police said they found a woman with serious gunshot injuries near 1910 Gerrard St. E. the evening of July 7

as 32-year-old Megan Elizabeth Crant, died at the scene. Police said Crant had been shot.

Police said they arrested Hirsch in the shooting at just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 16. He appeared in court later that morning. Homicide detectives continue to investigate Crant’s murder, police said. They added they are still looking for 29-year-old Toronto woman Chelsey Mais in connection with the shooting.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.
