The event is a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s research into Type 1 diabetes.
“Throughout the month of June, which is Walk Month for JDRF, more than 40 walks will be held in communities across Canada,” a statement released by the walk organizers on Wednesday said. “Together, they have a collective goal of raising $3.1 million to help accelerate life-changing T1D research.”The local walks happens at the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum on Sunday , starting at 10 a.m.
