Now an empty-nester, Rivette has turned his hand to songwriting, and he’s not messing around
Chad Rivette has been a mainstay of the The Trevi Bar & Grill for many years, entertaining at the venue, playing cover tunes and running the Trevi’s popular karaoke nights.
Rivette hasn’t messed around when it comes to his goal of songwriting. He’s actually now written 37 songs, and this spring, he released a single, “I Fall Back.” Rivette was recorded by his friend and band-mate, Carey Blackwell, who also helped him with the writing process and is an instrumentalist on the tune. “He's phenomenal,” he said. “I’m blessed to have him on my side.”
When Rivette was 16 years old, he travelled to Nashville and ended up winning a CMT competition that came with a recording contract.
