A Stirling band are in the running for a Scottish Album of the Year Award for the second year in a row.

Constant Follower’s Stephen McAll said this week: “This longlisting not only acknowledges our music but also the power of collaboration and the incredible musicians who call Stirling home. “I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals who poured their passion and talent into this project, their artistic ideas resonate throughout the album.”

Stephen added: “That chance encounter led to a deepening friendship, grounded in our mutual admiration for each other’s music.“What struck me was his ability to effortlessly convey profound emotions through his instrument. “This dynamic became our creative process, Scott laying down the foundational tracks, and me, inviting in other talented individuals to add layers and textures until the pieces felt just right.”

“Their artistic contributions added a rich layer of depth and emotion to our songs, and I’m thrilled that their work is receiving recognition through this longlisting.
