Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has refused to say if he wants Diane Abbott to stand again for his party.
Asked if he would like her to be a candidate, Sir Keir added: “Ultimately, that will be a matter for the NEC but no decision has been taken.” In response, Ms Abbott said: “Appalling. Whose clever idea has it been to have a cull of left wingers?”
