Mills might be something of an unknown quantity to many casual fans, but he had a strong pre-season and looked sharp in Week 1 against the Montreal Alouettes. At 5-foot-10 and 220 lbs., Mills has the ability to run over defenders. That’s not dissimilar to Carey, although it’s probably best to get a better look at the 25-year-old in regular season action before drawing that comparison.

To get Mills into the game, the Stamps had to remove him from the six-game injured list a week early, which means his salary for the five weeks he missed will count against their cap for this season. With Carey out, though, they didn’t have much choice.“I love all three of our backs,” said Stamps quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell. “I’d obviously love to have out there and get him 25 touches a game, but I’m excited for Peyton, I’m excited for Dedrick.
