Stampeders receivers look to disrupt the narrative in playoff game vs. Lions Stampeders yyc CFL
Had Rourke not gotten hurt at mid-season, he surely would have been the consensus choice for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player. He’s hurt the Stamps through the air before and is absolutely deserving of being the star of the show in Vancouver this weekend.
And the Stamps’ receiving group isn’t so bad, either. The team’s overall passing numbers this regular season won’t blow anyone away, but they’ve got an all-star in Malik Henry who will hopefully be back in the lineup after missing the last few games. In Philpot, they’ve got a young guy who has gotten better each week and started making a real impact. In Reggie Begelton and Kamar Jorden they have seasoned veterans who are capable of taking over a game.
“It’s two playoff football teams and we got here for a reason and we’re going head-to-head, no matter what it is, it’s the score at the end that really matters.”
