The Springbok Women's national rugby team is gearing up for the upcoming Rugby World Cup in England with an intense second alignment camp. Coach Swys de Bruin and his staff are working diligently to ensure the team is cohesive and prepared for the global challenge.
A group of 34 players have completed the first day of the Springbok Women 's second alignment camp of the year as preparations for the World Cup in England in August intensify. Bok Women coach Swys de Bruin and his assistants Laurian Johannes-Haupt, Franzel September, and Bafana Nhleko, put the squad through their paces at Loftus Versfeld. The players will return to their home unions on Wednesday for the third round of the Women's Premier Division .
De Bruin expressed satisfaction with the first camp held in Stellenbosch in January and once again commended the provincial unions for readily releasing their national players during the Women's Premier Division. He emphasized that the camp is designed to avoid any negative impact on their provincial preparations and is focused on alignment and ensuring the players are on the same page from a national perspective. The Women's Premier Division concludes at the end of March, and the Springbok Women will travel to Europe in April for several warm-up matches. Details regarding these matches will be released closer to the time.
