Local firefighters are using a new initiative to promote fire safety.
Called Sparky’s Dog Days of Summer, fire crews and prevention staff will be visiting splash pads around Belleville to talk about fire and accident prevention. They’ll bring along the new inflatable fire safety house and kids will also be able to check out a fire truck and take part in hands-on activities.
Staff and volunteers will also be selling pizza slices for $1.25 at each event with proceeds going to the United Way of Hastings and Prince Edward.August 10 – West Riverside Splash Pad, 344 Moira Street EastAll events run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. weather permitting.
