Police Minister Senzo Mchunu paid tribute to 14 South African National Defence Force soldiers who died in the Democratic Republic of Congo before addressing law enforcement agencies ahead of the State of the Nation Address (SONA). Hundreds of officers from various agencies participated in a parade at the Castle of Good Hope, where Mchunu emphasized the importance of professional conduct during SONA.

CAPE TOWN - Police Minister Senzo Mchunu made special mention of the 14 South African National Defence Force soldiers who lost their lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during his address to the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure ahead of their deployment for the State of the Nation Address .

Hundreds of law enforcement officers, including the SAPS, SANDF, national and provincial traffic management and the City of Cape Town Metro Police Department took part in a parade at the Castle of Good Hope as the minister spoke.recently with a moment of silence.
