South Africa is winning on the global stage. Water singer Tyla and Kairo Forbes both received nods at this year's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

The Afrobeats superstar was nominated in three categories: Favorite Viral Song 'Water', Favorite Breakout Artist and Favorite Global Music Star .

Kairo Forbes, 8, was nominated for Favourite African Kids Influencers and will go up against Dream Catches Academy, Biko's Mana, DJ Wysei and Boluwatife Balogun. This year's awards will be hosted by Spongebob SquarePants and Patrick Star as the animated show celebrates its 25th anniversary.
