ShareWith Mamelodi Sundowns believed to be looking at the possibility of bringing in Khanyisa Mayo, we look back at the club's memorable January transfer window signings.

Sundowns have often used the January transfer window to bolster their squad ahead of a CAF Champions League group stage campaign and they are likely to do the same when the next one opens in less than a month. They have forked out big money over the years to bring in their transfer targets in January and their most recent ones were Teboho Mokoena and Surprise Ralani from SuperSport United and Cape Town City respectively.

In January 2018, Sundowns went big in the market, signing Jeremy Brockie and Aubrey Ngoma from SuperSport and City respetively. At the time, both Brockie and Ngoma were in fine form, but were unable to crack it at Chloorkop and they eventually left without making a mark. Gaston Sirino was also signed during the January transfer window in 2018 and he has had an up and down period at Chloorkop.

A year later, Sundowns splashed the cash to sign Argentinean striker Emiliano Tade from AmaZulu, where he had just been for half a season. Tade made an instant impact when he joined Usuthu before the start of the 2018/2019 campaign, but things did not go so well for him at Chloorkop and left after a brief spell. In previous seasons, Sundowns have signed Thabo Nthethe from Bloemfontein Celtic and Teko Modise from Orlando Pirates during the January transfer window.
