Zhejiang faced Shanghai Shenhua in a league clash on Monday with Mushekwi continuing his impressive run in front of goals.The veteran striker struck the opener for the visitors after 74 minutes before Matheus Nascimento converted from the spot to double his side's lead.
Mushekwi now has 16 goals from 27 games, with his red-hot form seeing the former Sundowns star score six goals from his last six matches to fire Professional into third place on the standings. Five games remain in the CSL and with his form, it appears likely that the 35-year-old will reach 20 goals. He is among the top five leading scorers in the league with Brazilian forward Marcao leading with 23 goals.
Mushekwi – who is defying age and sending reminders about his scoring abilities – has already been backed to play until he is 40.Since leaving his homeland to play in the PSL at Sundowns, Mushekwi has surpassed double figures on nine occasions in spells in South Africa, Sweden, and China.
