The Foschini Group (TFG) seeks a skilled Solution Architect to drive the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions across its diverse portfolio of 34 speciality lifestyle and apparel brands.
This role is all about building the technological foundation for The Foschini Group (TFG)'s impressive portfolio of 34 speciality lifestyle and apparel brands. You'll be a key player in collaborating with business architects and business analysts to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into innovative, scalable, and interoperable solutions. Your expertise in architecture and solution design (UML, OO, SOA, etc.
) will be crucial as you guide development teams through the technical aspects of building these solutions. You'll ensure that the architectural choices maximize the reuse of components and services, adhering to existing principles, standards, and best practices. Active participation in architecture/design reviews will be essential to maintain consistency across solutions and functional domains. You'll work closely with analysts to translate requirements into practical solutions, while collaborating with the Development Architecture team to formulate and maintain guiding principles and standards. You'll also play a vital role in developing and promoting reusable patterns, components, and services. Finally, you'll collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to champion and govern the adoption of the architectural strategy across the division. We're looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of development experience, a deep understanding of cloud, databases, integration, networks, operating systems, and services, and a proven ability to create a culture of creativity and innovation. You must also be a quick learner, able to adapt to change and acquire new knowledge and skills quickly.
