Social Development celebrates Human Rights Day by focusing on elders
As the country commemorated Human Rights Day on Thursday, the department of social development collaborated with the SA Older Persons Forum to promote the rights of older persons and focus on keeping elderly people fit and active.
The deputy minister of social development, Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, said that the elders from different parts of the province participated in the active ageing programme, which had 18 sporting codes.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
