The debate comes before Thursday’s commemoration with members of Parliament (MPs) from all parties looking at the country’s human rights record over the last 30 years.
CAPE TOWN - Political parties have used Tuesday's National Assembly Human’s Rights Day debate to shine the spotlight on government successes and failures.
African National Congress MP Nompendulo Mkhatshwa said it's"indisputable" that basic human rights have improved since 1994. But Democratic Alliance MP Bridgette Masango said the ANC government has flouted the human rights of millions.
