Shortly after 8:30 p.m., the Godley Fire Department responded to a fiery plane crash in the area of the 8600 block of West FM 4.The pilot who died was identified as 18-year-old Jon Monreal of Crowley, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. There were not any passengers in the plane and no other injuries were reported.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed,” DPS said in a Thursday morning news release. The plane was a Cessna 150L., Breaking News Reporter.
