As soon as the news release about the bonus came into my email yesterday, I forwarded a copy to her. She is on her days off, so I’m not surprised she hasn’t answered. Last week, I spoke with someone from the housing department about the plan to put up pre-fab housing in rural communities across the province. We’re in a catch twenty-two where we don’t have enough workers and there isn’t adequate housing stock available for anyone we recruit. And the government is hoping those portables or trailers will be a temporary fix so that it becomes a temporary problem.That program is going to cost around $20 million if it gets fully implemented.
