“A severe storm swept through our area last night, catching us off guard. The heavy rain and strong winds caused significant damage to my home, with the corrugated iron roofing being completely destroyed. I’ve lost nearly all my belongings, and I’m currently trying to salvage what’s left to create a temporary shelter for tonight. The situation is dire, and I’m in urgent need of assistance to rebuild and recover.
Selokela says they are working to assist those affected. “Around 18 houses are very much demolished. So they cannot do anything to fix those and so they will be given temporary shelter. As we usually do to assist those who are in dire need in terms of this situation.”
