Seth Meyers made his children part of an elaborate, adorable bit during a recent Late Night episode
during the coronavirus pandemic, a location that’s provided the late-night host with an interesting backdrop for political commentary. He films in front of a small closet, which Meyers often comments on during the show.
On Monday, Meyers finally revealed what he’s been keeping behind the door: his kids. The elaborate gag was set up at the start of his Closer Look segment. “Welcome back to the attic crawl space, everybody. As you may know, there’s been some speculation online about what’s behind my tiny little door back there. I just want to put one of the rumors to rest: I do not keep my children in there so they won’t interrupt me while I’m filming,” he joked. “For one, that would be very cruel, and two, it’s a shallow closet. You would never fit both of them. Which is something I could tell from eyeballing; I didn’t try. And you can’t lock it from the outside.
