We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Developer to join our global team. This pivotal role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying secure, compliant, and reusable cloud infrastructure components and developer enablement solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building scalable platforms, enhancing development efficiency, and driving the implementation of best-practice cloud and DevOps standards.
This involves hands-on contributions to our infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives, Kubernetes deployments, and overall developer experience. The Senior Back-End Developer will be a key contributor to our cloud strategy, helping to ensure the resilience, scalability, and security of our applications and infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, a passion for automation, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global and diverse team environment. The candidate must also possess excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely. Furthermore, the role will involve mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes.\Key responsibilities include the design, implementation, and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions utilizing Terraform for Azure and/or AWS environments. This includes the development of reusable and modular Terraform components with a focus on robust state management, versioning, and effective environment separation. The developer will also be responsible for packaging and managing Kubernetes deployments, Helm charts, and providing developer deployment enablement solutions, ensuring seamless and efficient application deployments. Automation of validation, testing, and static analysis for infrastructure using tools like tfsec, Checkov, and Terratest will be crucial. The role also requires the production of comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure maintainability. The Senior Back-End Developer will work within Agile teams, actively participate in sprint activities, and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and development. The candidate will also monitor platform health using logging, metrics, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, ensuring the proactive identification and resolution of any issues.\Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash and Python. Advantageous skills include experience in test automation, infrastructure testing, and the development of reusable workflows and templates. Familiarity with AI tools or prompt engineering is also considered a plus. A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
