We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-End Developer to join our global team. The primary responsibility will be to design and implement secure, compliant, and reusable cloud infrastructure components and developer enablement solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a proven ability to build scalable and efficient platforms.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in improving development efficiency and championing best-practice cloud and DevOps standards across the organization. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with other experienced engineers in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint cycles and mentoring junior team members. Your contributions will directly impact our infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and security. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cloud technologies, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.\Your core responsibilities will include the following. You will design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions utilizing Terraform, specifically targeting Azure and/or AWS environments. This includes developing reusable and modular Terraform components, ensuring proper state management, versioning, and environment separation for optimal performance and security. You will also be responsible for packaging and managing Kubernetes deployments and Helm charts, streamlining the developer deployment process and providing efficient developer enablement. Automation is critical, thus you will be expected to automate validation, testing, and static analysis procedures for infrastructure components, leveraging tools such as tfsec, Checkov, and Terratest. Documentation is also a critical component of your role; you will produce comprehensive technical documentation, detailed runbooks, and onboarding materials to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability of our infrastructure. Monitoring platform health is essential, therefore you will monitor systems using logging, metrics, and alerting tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to proactively identify and address potential issues. You will be expected to contribute to and participate actively in Agile teams, contributing during sprint activities and mentoring junior engineers. Scripting and automation will be key aspects of the role, requiring proficiency in Bash and Python for infrastructure management and automation tasks.
