Chippa handed Decide Chauke a full debut with Khanyisile Mayo starting too, as Sekhukhune’s match-winner against Maritzburg United Sibusiso Vilakazi started on the bench.
Chippa’s interim coach Siyabulela Gwambi was forced to introduce a substitution six minutes in as young Mayo went stretchered off and saw Ronaldo Maarman come on in his place. Babina Noko looked to regain control a little from surrendering, but found Chippa goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili alert as he tucked out every threat.
The Chilli Boys looked to draw level early from the halftime interval, but struggled to breakdown Babina Noko at the back and continued to trail.
