Interesting things about this weekend's Nedbank Cup quarterfinals

This weekend's Nedbank Cup quarterfinals mark the first time since 2014 that the PSL’s big three – Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs – will feature in the last eight of the R7 million competition.

Chiefs clash with Royal in the Ke Yona Cup comes three months after Amakhosi’s 2-0 win on January 29. In seven matches since he rejoined his old club, Stellenbsoch, Rayners has scored nine goals in all competitions. Since the Nedbank Cup was rebranded by the popular bank in 2008, Sundowns have dominated the tournament.

Dondol have only lost twice in six league matches since they eliminated AmaZulu in the last 16 of the Ke Yona Cup on March 8.
