NORTH RUSTICO, P.E.I. — Scott Parsons and The Umbrella Collective are bringing some of the best of reggae music to the Watermark Theatre stage on Aug.

The performance at Watermark Theatre titled Reggae Allstars features the music of Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh, Rita Marley, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, Sister Carol and many more.He has appeared at festivals in Canada and the U.S., done two extensive tours of Switzerland and performed in England, Wales, Scotland and the Orkney Islands. He opened for Blue Rodeo, Jesse Winchester, backed up the infamous Daisy Debolt and was bass player for Gene MacLellan.

The Umbrella Collective is a Charlottetown-based group that focuses on bringing the energy of a live band to the music of local rap, reggae and R&B artists. Made up of a group of experienced musicians, the band is recruiting the ambassadors of hip-hop culture in P.E.I.
