Speakers include Pat Rafferty, Unite Scottish secretary, Sharon Graham, Unite general secretary and Rozanne Foyer, general secretary of the STUC.Anas Sarwar, Scottish Labour leader, and Richard Lochhead, former leader and spokesman for Just Transition, Employment and Fair Work, will address the conference.Unite members took part in the strikes last month that halted cleansing services across the country until a deal was finally agreed with councils.

Unite, with GMB and Unison, rejected the 5% pay offer on the grounds it would give more money to those already on higher salaries and not enough to workers on the lower pay.
