‘It took me 2 hours to find my hotel’ – Lira shares intimate details about her strokeAbout an hour or so into his performance, Samthing’s connection got interrupted but he returned soon after.
“So, I have a limit for social media. I only interact with it for like an hour and then my phone automatically cuts me out, I think that’s what happened,” said the artist. “I only use social media for an hour, one platform a day. So I used my hour just now and it locked me out. I’m sorry.” Social media has given artists direct access to their fans. The access also gives artists an opportunity to get immediate feedback from some of their ardent fans. The virtual activity was fast-tracked by the Covid-19 pandemic, where many artists who were stationed at home had to find ways of sharing their art with fans.
“I hope you guys enjoyed that. It’s a rehearsal, I’ll see you next week,” Samthing said as he ended his Spaces.
