A video depicting a SABC employee's altercation with FlySafair staff over alcohol has gone viral, leading to the employee being banned from future flights.
A South African Broadcasting Corporation ( SABC ) employee involved in a verbal and physical altercation with FlySafair staff will be banned from flying with the airline again. The incident occurred on a flight from Durban to Cape Town on December 26th, where the woman allegedly became unruly after being refused more alcohol. In a video widely shared on social media, the woman can be heard making racist remarks towards the flight crew.
FlySafair's chief marketing officer, Kirby Gordon, stated that the passenger would be placed on their no-fly list. The SABC has condemned the employee's behavior and stated they will address the situation internally. The African National Congress (ANC) also issued a statement condemning the woman's actions, emphasizing that her behavior was unacceptable and did not represent the principles of the party
