RTMC Warns of Fake Job Advertisements on TikTok

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) of South Africa is alerting the public about fraudulent job advertisements circulating on the TikTok platform. The RTMC emphasizes that it did not create these fake advertisements, which are designed to deceive job seekers. The corporation strongly condemns individuals who exploit vulnerable job seekers for personal gain and advises the public to report any suspicious job postings.

The corporation says it has not published these videos and condemns those taking advantage of job seekers.The Road Traffic Management Corporation is warning South Africans about a raft of fake adverts on short-form video platform TikTok.

“The RTMC condemns, in the strongest possible terms, individuals who prey on the public by spreading false information and exploiting job seekers in an attempt to solicit bribes or other personal gains. These unethical and criminal activities not only tarnish the image of genuine organisations but also cause financial and emotional harm to innocent members of our society,”as well as reputable publications for opportunities at the corporation.

Scammers love advertising their scams on social media as they are more likely to find victims, especially when the scam revolves around jobs in a country where unemployment is a major problem. Aside from reporting the scam to RTMC, it’s a good idea to report the post on the platform you found it to help prevent others from falling prey to the scam.
