Saturday's CFL game between the visiting Toronto Argonauts and Saskatchewan Roughriders has been postponed to the following day because of a COVID-19 outbreak involving the Roughriders.

The Roughriders said on Wednesday 13 players had tested positive since July 12.

The team cancelled practices Tuesday and Wednesday in the midst of the COVID outbreak, which hit higher numbers after the Roughriders' game against the Argos last Saturday in Wolfville, N.S. The Roughriders have not disclosed which players have tested positive, but general manager Jeremy O'Day said Wednesday the team has had cases at"just about every position." He added it's"about 50-50" between players who test positive and show symptoms and positive cases that are asymptomatic.

An outbreak on the Edmonton Elks during the shortened 2021 season led to the postponement of a game against Toronto that was ultimately made up later in the year. When submitting content, please abide by our , and avoid posting profanity, personal attacks or harassment.
