Kaizer Chiefs are expected to announce the arrivals of Nasreddine Nabi and he chose Amakhosi over three lucrative offers abroad!
Nabi is expected to officially be announced and appointed as Chiefs coach next month, ending a long saga.
It all started this time last season, when Chiefs and Nabi were expected to close out a deal. Those talks then fell through at the last minute, leaving the deal dead in the water. Both parties then duly moved on. The Tunisian then moved on towhere has enjoyed considerable success. It was then a huge surprise to see him being pursued and willing to join Amakhosi., Nabi really wanted the Chiefs job, this to the extent he rejected three Middle Eastern jobs.
“Al Arabi Sports Club from Saudi Arabia were one team Mokoena who talks were seriously interested. There were two teams from the UAE as well that wanted Nabi but he chose Kaizer Chiefs.” Said a source explaining the situation. “The South African offer was not the only one, but rather I received several offers. But I will have a meeting with the team president to talk about this issue,” Nabi said while speaking to the Moroccan media two weeks ago.
