An evacuation order has been issued by the Regional District of Okanagan\u002DSimilkameen for an area threatened by a wildfire burning about 21 kilometres northwest of Penticton.
The B.C. Wildfire Service is responding to the Keremeos Creek wildfire located approximately 21 kilometres southwest of Penticton. The wildfire is estimated to be 100 hectares in size as of Friday, July 29, 2022.
There are currently ten personnel and two helicopters on site, with additional personnel and a structure protection unit en route. This wildfire is located in terrain that is inoperable for airtanker and heavy machinery support at this time. Photo: B.C.
