The beach is located on the Heart's Ease Beach Trail, which he calls “a moderate three-kilometre round trip that crosses over the beach and loops around the coastline and features a spectacular sea arch.” “The beach is also surrounded by towering cliffs and a nearby sea arch. The sandy seabed also gives the surrounding ocean an almost tropical appearance.”Laura and Dave Moore are from Kingsville, Ontario, but they have visited Newfoundland three times over the past six years to visit their son who has taken up residence in the province.

The lupines were also in full bloom.” “They are natural beaches in that they are not cleared of seaweed, just garbage. They are actually on a peninsula and there are miles and miles of sandy beach. The park itself has about seven different beaches."
She does advise people who might require specialty items to stock up before travelling to the community. “As one of the only grey sand beaches in Canada, it is a unique experience to come and see the sand that has formed the beach that we love today,” says Slade. Salmon Cove has a few Airbnb accommodations that are becoming increasingly popular with visitors. It's also located just 15 minutes from Carbonear, which has “motel amenities, fast food chain restaurants, and other local restaurants that are becoming quite popular with locals themselves.”The town was recently incorporated into the CBN T'railway, an accessible trail for ATVs to travel around the Bay de Verde Peninsula, including the Iron Horse Trail and Iron Horse Trail Extension.
