'Ready' KZN cops call on FirstRand to share 'security notice' info about possible political violence
The FirstRand Group has issued a nationwide "security notice" about protest action anticipated during and after elections by allegedly dissatisfied uMkhonto weSizwe Party supporters.
However, the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal, whose offices have been identified as being at"high risk" of experiencing violence, warned against the notice, saying it could encourage riots. The notice prompted KwaZulu-Natal police to implore FirstRand to share any information it had on the matter with Crime Intelligence.
