Disgruntled taxi drivers and some taxi bosses brought the KwaZulu-Natal town of Port Shepstone to a standstill on Thursday as they demand the traffic authorities release their impounded taxis.

Taxi drivers used their vehicles and trucks to block some entrances and exits to the South Coast town. They claim that the police's Operation Shanela has been impounding vehicles since the start of this week and taxi bosses have to pay R10 000 for each taxi to be released.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
