Rassie wishes Bulls well against Leinster as Springbok camp concludes
Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus addresses media in Cape Town in his first press conference of 2024 .
The Springboks have concluded their training camp in Pretoria, with coach Rassie Erasmus pleased with a productive week as green-horned players rubbed shoulders with seasoned international campaigners ahead of their opening Test of the year against Wales next weekend. Erasmus had named 11 uncapped players in his 35-man training squad - two of whom in Ethan Hooker and Edwill van der Merwe were the only players not to have participated in national alignment camps earlier in the year - at the beginning of the week as he looks to use the outing at Twickenham as an opportunity to blood new players.
This cause is helped along by the absence of European-based players for a match that falls outside of World Rugby's international Test window, including his captain, Siya Kolisi, as well as the juggling of injuries to a worrying handful of his regular Springbok personnel.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
