An American donor has donated a rare WWII vehicle used by the Canadian Forces to the Ontario Regiment Museum in Oshawa.The “Dingo” is a British light, fast, four-wheel drive reconnaissance vehicle.
The UK built Dingo is very rare as they were exported to every continent during the War with the exception of North America. Charles and Dora Abdouch donated the funds to purchase the vehicle and transport it to the Ontario Regiment Museum in Oshawa.“As children of Veterans, we would like to honor the memory of every vet by providing this WWII armored vehicle,” said Abdouch. “The stories of those that served in it can be used to educate all to the price of the freedoms we enjoy.
