Improvements at Calgary's Hangar Flight Museum among tourism projects to receive federal funding yyc
Fifty tourism projects across the province will receive a share of the funding, Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance Randy Boissonnault announced Monday. Brian Desjardins, executive director of the museum, said the funds will go toward accessibility improvements and a 500-square-foot extension that will bring some exhibits out of storage. The Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary is undergoing construction to improve accessibility and add a 500-square-foot extension to bring out some artifacts that have been in storage.Construction began last month and is expected to be completed in the spring.Bridgeland Distillery in Calgary will be given $77,740 in funds to enhance its displays, signage, tasting rooms, tours and digital experiences to show the distilling process.
