Mitch Garver and Jonah Heim homered to give the Rangers an early lead, but it was Adolis Garcia's grand slam in the ninth inning that shut the door on the Astros, powering Texas to a 9-2 win in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series at Minute Maid Park.

Garcia then struck out for a third time.
Eovaldi returned for the bottom half of the inning, entering the frame at 82 pitches. He got Maldonado to line out to leftfield, but Altuve singled again, and Bochy decided to pull Eovaldi, ending his night after 6.1 innings.In the eighth, Texas added to its lead with a Garver double that scored the rookie Carter, who had reached on an infield single.
