An incredible partnership between KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs powered the Delhi Capitals to a comfortable six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday night.
Rahul crunched six sixes and seven fours in an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls, while Stubbs struck 38* off 23 as their brilliant unbeaten 111-run fifth-wicket partnership off 55 balls slammed their team out of a hole and over the line with 13 balls to spare.
But that was as good as it got for the hosts as in the fourth over a terrible mix-up between Salt and Kohli ended with the Englishman sent back and run out, leaving them on 61-1, which became 64-2 by the end of the six-over powerplay after Devdutt Padikkal fell to Mukesh Kumar.
